TITLE: Early Childhood/Tuition-Based Program Supervisor REQUIRED: Must meet LARA requirements for Program Director according to Child Care Licensing Rules R400.8113(9) & (13) Experience in early childhood programming preferred DUTIES: Duties include but are not limited to: ? Implement and evaluate all program components: develop, implement, and evaluate policies and programs in collaboration with district administration. ? Administer day-to-day operations including addressing and supporting parent, child, and staff issues. ? Ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate, and stimulating environment for children. ? Train and support staff with the implementation of a research-based curriculum and assessments that complies with state and federal requirements. ? Ensure that facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations, including maintaining children and staff files to comply with licensed programs including Preschool, GSRP, before-school programming, state licensing, food, transportation, playground, and safety requirements. ? Plan and present monthly parent/child enrichment opportunities ? Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies. ? Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements. ? Review timesheets and verify all discrepancies. ? Complete ongoing training and courses to remain current on daycare standards and procedures. ? Manage and oversee the budget and accounts. ? Coordinate with the administrative team, local agencies, and Northwest Education Services to conduct annual program evaluations as needed or required. ? Maintain positive community relationships and agency partnerships. ? Conduct GSRP application appointments, class placement, review policies, support home visits if needed, complete files and host an open house play date all during the summer months. ? Initiate and plan for future early childhood endeavors such as expanding Elk Rapids Early Childhood Program (additional preschool classrooms, GSRP classrooms, Headstart, infant/toddler rooms, before/after school care) and supporting ER Parenting Communities.
