We will be interviewing and meeting with candidates to fill the following vacancies: 1. Classroom Aide 2. Special Education Aide Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent ? Previous experience working with students ? Ability to care for, supervise and nurture children Required Skills: ? Assist student(s) with academics in regular education classes ? Assist students in elective classes such as physical education, music, art, lunch and recess duties ? Assist in planning meetings and gathering data for IEP’s when appropriate ? Helping student(s) with small and large group, non-direct instruction ? Support student(s) with physical challenges such as wheel-chairs, scribe, daily life skills, communication devices if necessary ? Monitor behavior of students on behavior plans under the direction of special education teacher ? Serves as a witness for medication administration, if requested ? Attend trainings and in-services ? Accompany special education student(s) on field trips when necessary ? Performs other duties as assigned ? Supervise recess, cafe, hallways ? Serve as crossing-guard (with training) Expectations: ?
