We will be interviewing and meeting with candidates to assume the following teaching assignments: 1. Elementary Teacher 2. Special Education Teacher Qualifications: ? Bachelor’s Degree in one of the subjects listed above ? Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements ? Highly successful teaching experience or exceptional reviews with evidence of success as a student teacher ? Evidence of the ability to form mutually respectful and supportive professional relationships Required Skills: ? Dynamic and charismatic personality with ability to inspire young people and build meaningful, supportive, and collaborative relationships ? Student-centered ? Committed to equity, inclusion, diversity and belonging practices and ideals ? Promote and hold self and others to high expectations for student growth and achievement ? Ability to maintain a flexible approach ? Confident and eager collaborator ? Empathetic and student-centered ? Solutions-based problem-solver ? Reflective and committed to the recursive nature of learning ? Organized, detail oriented, and self-directed ? Ability to demonstrate initiative ? Professional written and verbal communication skills with school personnel, students, parents, and community ? Ability to interact with a variety of audiences and individuals and build community Duties: 1. Fulfill all professional obligations related to job title and expectations 2. Conceptualize and implement a vision for courses that provide an exceptional learning experiences for a variety of learners 3. Teach multi-age, IB programming with required curricular materials 4. Participate in mandatory professional development 5. Participate in professional learning communities to collaborate and implement a clear vision for high quality teaching and learning 6. Support and promote the district and school vision, mission, and goals for high quality teaching and learning 7. Inspire students to succeed 8. Implement adopted curricula to maximize student growth, proficiency, and success 9. Model professionalism in fulfilling all staff required duties and school expectations 10.
